UP Board Exam 2027: Answer Book Security Tightened for Class 10 and 12, Details Here

The UP Board Exam 2027 security arrangements have been tightened for Class 10 and Class 12 examinations, with the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) introducing stricter rules for storing, distributing and tracking answer books. Around 52.55 lakh students have registered for the upcoming High School and Intermediate examinations.

The new UP Board answer book security measures aim to prevent answer-sheet misuse, tampering and unauthorised movement. The exams are scheduled from February 5 to 24, 2027. The board has directed district officials to maintain records at every stage, from receiving blank answer books to accounting for unused copies after the exams.

UP Board Exam 2027 Answer Sheet Security: What Has Changed?

UPMSP has introduced a detailed tracking system for UP Board Class 10 and 12 Exam 2027 answer books. Blank answer books must be stored under 24-hour CCTV surveillance with voice recording. Officials have also been instructed to ensure that all required answer books reach examination centres before the exams begin.

If a shortage occurs, the available stock must be distributed proportionately according to the number of registered students at each centre. The board has warned officials against supplying the full requirement to some centres while leaving others short of answer books.

UPMSP Answer Book Security Measures 2027: QR Codes, Colours and Records

The new UPMSP answer sheet security rules include QR codes and page numbers on thread-stitched answer books. The A and B answer books for High School and Intermediate examinations will carry QR codes on their first and last pages.

The board has also introduced different colours to help identify answer-book categories. Numbered bundles must be recorded in permanent registers, and each distribution entry must include the quantity, serial-number range and recipient details.

UP Board Class 10 and 12 Exam 2027: Answer Book Allocation Rules

UPMSP has fixed separate answer book allocation rules for UP Board Class 10 and Class 12 exams. For High School, Answer books will be supplied at six times the number of registered candidates, excluding students appearing for art. B answer books will account for 40% of the A books.

For Intermediate, Answer books will be supplied at five times the registered candidates, excluding art candidates. B answer books will account for 30% of the A books. Officials must issue answer books in serial order, opening a new bundle only after the previous one has been used up.
