The UP Board Exam 2026 evaluation process has entered a crucial phase as the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has started checking OMR answer sheets for Class 10 and Class 12 examinations. The move is aimed at ensuring early announcement of the UP Board results in the current academic session.According to official updates, the board has already dispatched the first batch of OMR answer sheets to designated evaluation centres across Uttar Pradesh, marking the beginning of the assessment process.
UP Board Exam 2026 Phase-Wise OMR Evaluation Schedule
The OMR evaluation is being conducted in multiple phases to streamline the checking process. In the first phase, answer sheets of examinations conducted between 18 February 2026 and 21 February 2026 were sent for evaluation and completed successfully. Before moving to the next phase, it is important to note that the board has planned a structured dispatch of answer sheets to avoid delays and ensure accuracy. The second phase of OMR sheet dispatch will begin on 28 February 2026, covering major subjects such as Science and English. This phase is expected to significantly accelerate the overall evaluation timeline.
Reason for Early OMR Sheet Evaluation
For the UP Board Class 10 exam 2026, 20 marks out of 70 are allotted to multiple-choice questions (MCQs), which are answered on OMR sheets. Early evaluation of these sheets helps minimise clerical errors and reduces manual workload. While OMR checking is currently underway, the evaluation of descriptive answer sheets is also progressing simultaneously. This dual approach is expected to shorten the overall result preparation time.
UP Board Result 2026: Early Declaration Expected
The UP Board examinations for Class 10 and Class 12 are scheduled to conclude on 12 March 2026. With OMR evaluation already in progress, officials believe that the UP Board Result 2026 may be declared earlier than previous years. This year, over 54 lakh students have appeared for the High School and Intermediate examinations.
