UP Board Exam 2026: UPMSP Warns Against Viral Fake Question Papers as the Class 10 and Class 12 examinations commenced on 18 February 2026. The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad has issued an official advisory cautioning students and parents against misleading content circulating on social media platforms. Authorities have termed the viral question papers as completely fabricated.
UPMSP Advisory on Fake UP Board Question Papers 2026
The board’s media cell reported that certain individuals are creating and sharing fake question papers on platforms such as WhatsApp and YouTube. These materials are being circulated with the intent to mislead candidates appearing for the ongoing examinations. In its official statement, UPMSP clarified that the circulated question papers are baseless and do not correspond to the actual examination content. Students have been advised to rely only on verified information published on the official UPMSP website and through authorised communication channels. The board emphasised that spreading false information during examinations can create unnecessary panic among students and parents. It urged candidates to avoid engaging with or forwarding unverified content related to the examination.
FIRs to Be Filed Against Those Spreading Rumours
UPMSP has requested the state cyber cell to initiate strict legal action against individuals responsible for circulating fake question papers. The board has directed authorities to register First Information Reports (FIRs) against those involved in spreading misinformation. According to the advisory, individuals found guilty of creating or distributing fabricated exam papers may face legal consequences, including imprisonment of up to two years along with monetary penalties as per applicable laws. The warning comes as over 53 lakh students are appearing for the UP Board Class 10 and Class 12 examinations this year. The board has already implemented enhanced surveillance measures at examination centres to ensure transparency and prevent malpractice. Candidates are advised to continue their preparation as per the official syllabus and examination schedule. Further updates regarding the UP Board Exam 2026, including result dates and related notifications, will be released through the board’s official portal.
