The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has extended the Class 12 practical exam deadline for the 2026 Board exams to February 4, 2026, after some schools could not complete scheduled assessments by the original deadline of February 1. The theory exams will follow from February 18 to March 12, 2026.
The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) the governing body for the UP Board exams, has officially extended the deadline for the Class 12 practical examinations 2026 to February 4, 2026. This extension comes after reports that practical assessments scheduled to finish by February 1, 2026 were still pending in several schools across the state. According to the updated notification, students who were unable to complete their practical tests within the original timeframe will now have until February 4, 2026 to appear for and finish their practical examinations. Authorities stated the decision was taken in the interest of students so that no one loses a year due to incomplete assessments.
Why the UP Board Extended Practical Dates?
Practical exams for the UP Board Class 12 academic year 2025‑26 were organised in phases, starting in late January 2026. However, authorities received feedback from various districts that some centres could not complete all practical assessments by the earlier deadline of February 1, 2026. To address this and provide a final chance to students, the Board extended the deadline to 4 February 2026. This extension applies across multiple divisions and is meant to ensure fair opportunities for all candidates. Schools are instructed to complete pending practical exams and submit marks within the revised timeline. Parents and students are advised to coordinate with school officials to confirm final schedules.
What’s Next for UP Board Exams 2026?
Following the completion of practical assessments, the UP Board Class 12 theory exams 2026 are scheduled to begin from February 18, 2026, and continue through March 12, 2026, in pen‑and‑paper mode. These exams will be conducted across multiple centres in the state with morning and afternoon shifts
Students should ensure they attend practical exams before the extended deadline and keep track of future notifications about admit cards, hall tickets and theory exam schedules on the official UPMSP website
