The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has published a list of 7,448 proposed exam centres for the upcoming 2026 Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations. The list includes a mix of government, aided, and unaided schools across the state. Students, parents, and schools now have time until December 4, 2025 to raise any objections regarding the centre allocations. After reviewing all objections, the board will finalise and publish the approved centre list on December 11, 2025 via the official website.
Breakdown of Selected Exam Centres
The 7,448 proposed centres comprise:
- 910 government schools
- 3,484 aided schools
- 3,054 unaided schools
This centre list reflects a consolidation from last year, when the number of centres had temporarily increased before final review. The board says the centres were selected based on updated school data verified by district-level committees under the supervision of District Magistrates.
UP Board 2026 Exam Schedule
As per earlier announcement, UP Board exams for 2026 are scheduled from 18 February to 12 March, 2026 for both Class 10 and Class 12. Class 10 exams will be conducted in two shifts daily — morning (8:30 AM–11:45 AM) and afternoon (2:00 PM–5:15 PM). For Class 12, practical exams are expected to begin from 21 January to 5 February, ahead of theory examinations.
What Students and Schools Must Do Now?
- Download the proposed centre list district-wise from the official website upmsp.edu.in.
- Review your assigned centre details: school name, type (govt/aid/unaided), exam shift and address.
- If there’s any issue — infrastructure, distance, disability access, or incorrect school assignment — raise an objection before December 4, 2025, through your school’s authorised portal.
- After objections are reviewed, the final centre list will be published on December 11, 2025.
Schools and district-level officials will verify all objections and forward approved changes after review.
Why This Matters for Students and Parents?
Exam centre location is crucial for travel planning, time management, and on-day logistics. With more than 50 lakh students expected to appear for UP Board 2026, the early release of the centre list aims to give enough time for proper planning. Delays in centre allocation or last-minute changes can lead to exam disruptions — so students and parents are encouraged to verify centre details early and act promptly if any issue arises.
