The University of Hyderabad (UoH) has invited applications for its MBA (General Management) programme for the 2026-28 academic session. Interested candidates can register for admission online through the official academic portal acad.uohyd.ac.in or uohyd.ac.in until 31 January 2026.
UoH MBA 2026 – Application Deadline and Process
The online registration for University of Hyderabad MBA Admissions 2026-28 began on 9 January 2026, and the last date to apply is 31 January 2026. Applicants must complete and submit the application form on the university’s official academic portal before the deadline. Candidates must upload valid entrance test scores and academic details as part of the application. Once submitted, candidates should save a copy of the confirmation page for future reference.
Eligibility Criteria for MBA Admission 2026
To be eligible for admission, candidates must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Educational Qualification: A three-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 60% marks from a university recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC)/AIU/AICTE.
- Candidates who are completing their final degree examinations by June 2026 are also eligible to apply.
- Applicants must have a valid score in at least one of the following entrance tests: CAT 2025, MAT 2025, or CMAT 2026.
There is no upper age limit specified for the MBA programme.
MBA Seat Matrix 2026
The University of Hyderabad has 75 seats available for the MBA (General Management) course for the 2026-28 batch. The category-wise seat allocation is as follows:
Seats for PwD candidates are included in the overall intake but may also have specific reservation guidelines.
Entrance Test and Shortlisting
The University will shortlist candidates based on valid CAT 2025, MAT 2025 or CMAT 2026 scores. Shortlisted applicants will be called for the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds. The dates for GD and PI sessions will be announced on the university’s admission portal in February/March 2026. The application fee varies by category:
- General category: Rs 600
- Economically Weaker Section (EWS): Rs 550
- Other Backward Classes (OBC): Rs 400
- Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD): Rs 275
Fees must be paid online, and candidates should retain their transaction numbers for future reference.
Selection and Final Admission
After shortlisting based on entrance scores, candidates will be assessed through GD and PI rounds. The final merit list will be prepared considering performance in entrance test scores and subsequent rounds. Admission offers will be made to candidates whose names appear on the final merit list. Prospective students are advised to complete their applications well before the 31 January 2026 deadline to ensure consideration for MBA admissions at one of India’s established central universities.
