The application correction window will be available on May 9 and May 10, 2025. The application fee is INR 1150 for candidates in the General or Unreserved category. Candidates in the General-EWS, OBC-NCL categories need to pay INR 600, while SC, ST, and PwD category candidates will pay INR 325.
UGC NET June 2025 exam will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode for 85 subjects. The exam is tentatively scheduled to take place between June 21 and June 30, 2025.

Steps to Fill the UGC NET June 2025 Application Form
Candidates applying for the UGC NET June 2025 exam must complete the online application process through the official website. The steps below explain how candidates can register, fill in the details, upload documents, pay the fee, and submit the form.
Step 1: Go to the official UGC NET portal at ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
Step 2: Click on the “UGC-NET June 2025 Register/Login” link and provide an Email ID and Mobile Number to register and get an Application Number.
Step 3: Log in using the credentials and enter personal details, educational qualifications, category, and choice of exam cities.
Step 4: Upload the required documents. The photograph file size should be between 10KB and 200KB, and the signature file size should be between 4KB and 30KB. The photograph must be recent with 80 percent of the face visible against a white background.
Step 5: Pay the application fee using Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI. The fee structure is as follows:
- General or Unreserved fee is INR 1150
- OBC-NCL or Gen-EWS fee is INR 600
- SC, ST, PwD, or Third Gender fee is INR 325
Step 6: After completing the payment, submit the form. Download and save the Confirmation Page for future use.
UGC NET 2025 Eligibility Criteria
The National Testing Agency (NTA) sets the UGC NET 2025 eligibility criteria based on factors such as age, educational qualifications, and nationality.
Educational Qualifications
- General Category: Candidates must have secured at least 55% marks in their Master’s degree or equivalent examination from a recognized university.
- Reserved Categories (OBC, SC, ST, PwD, Third Gender): A minimum of 50% marks in a Master’s degree or equivalent is required.
- Final Year Students: Those who are in the final year of their Master’s program or awaiting results are also eligible to apply. However, they must complete their degree with the required percentage within the stipulated time frame.
Age Limit
- Junior Research Fellowship (JRF): Candidates should not be more than 30 years old as of the first day of the month in which the examination concludes.
- Assistant Professorship: There is no upper age limit for candidates applying for the role of Assistant Professor.
