NTA has released provisional answer keys for UGC NET December 2025 exams conducted from 31 December 2025 to 7 January 2026. Candidates can check the answer keys and cut-off marks for all 85 subjects on the official portal. UGC NET December 2025 Provisional Answer Keys and Cut-Off Released

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the provisional answer keys for UGC-NET December 2025 for all 85 subjects. The exams were conducted between 31 December 2025 and 7 January 2026, and candidates can access the answer keys on the official website ugcnet.nta.nic.in.

 

UGC NET 2025 Cut-Off Highlights

Analysis of cut-off trends indicates notable changes across major subjects:

  • English: OBC (NCL) cut-off increased from 99.07 to 176.
  • Economics: JRF cut-off for OBC–NCL reduced from 198 to 184, and for EWS from 200 to 186.
  • Education: Cut-off for reserved categories also reduced for JRF eligibility.

The cut-offs represent the minimum qualifying marks required to clear UGC NET and are determined based on exam difficulty and number of candidates appeared.

 

How to Check UGC NET 2025 Cut-Off?

Candidates can follow these steps to check and download the cut-off PDF:

  1. Visit the official NTA UGC NET website: ugcnet.nta.nic.in
  2. Click on the link to check cut-off marks.
  3. Subject-wise cut-off PDFs for all 85 subjects will appear on the screen.
  4. Download and save the PDF for future reference.

 

Next Steps

NTA is expected to declare the UGC NET December 2025 results soon along with final subject-wise cut-offs for all three eligibility categories: JRF, Assistant Professor, and PhD. Candidates are advised to download the provisional answer keys and compare responses to estimate scores and check their standing before results are announced.
