The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the UGC NET December 2025 notification shortly. The exam will determine eligibility for Assistant Professorship and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) across Indian universities and colleges. The December session will be held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode, with two papers consisting of objective-type questions.

 

UGC NET December 2025 Registration Details

As per previous cycles, UGC NET December 2025 registration is likely to begin between September and October 2025. Once released, the application form will be available at the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

 

The registration process will include the following steps:

  • Online form filling
  • Uploading of scanned documents
  • Fee payment through online mode

Candidates are advised to keep their academic documents and valid ID proof ready before applying.

 

UGC NET December 2025 Exam Pattern

The UGC NET December 2025 exam will follow a fixed pattern similar to the June cycle. The test will include two papers conducted in a single session.

UGC NET December 2025 Application Fee

The application fee will remain category-specific, as per NTA guidelines.

  • General category: ₹1150
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): ₹600
  • SC/ST/PwD: ₹325

The fee must be paid online through debit/credit card, net banking, or UPI.
