UGC NET 2025 December Result has been declared by the National Testing Agency on 4 February 2026. The results are based on the final answer key released for the December session examination. Qualified candidates will be eligible for JRF, Assistant Professor appointments, and PhD admissions as per prescribed criteria. The University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test was conducted across multiple shifts to assess eligibility for academic and research roles in Indian universities and colleges.

UGC NET 2025 Cut-off and Eligibility Criteria

The UGC NET cut-off is released separately for different eligibility categories. These cut-offs determine qualification status for academic and research pathways. NTA publishes category-wise and subject-wise cut-off marks for the following:

  • Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor
  • Assistant Professor and admission to PhD
  • Admission to PhD only

Candidates scoring equal to or above the prescribed cut-off marks will be considered qualified.
