Eligibility Criteria for UGC NET 2025 December

To appear for UGC NET 2025 December, candidates must meet the required academic and age criteria set by the NTA:

  • Must have completed a postgraduate degree in the relevant subject.
  • Minimum marks required: as per notification (check official document).
  • Age limit: There’s no age limit for Assistant Professor eligibility; for JRF, additional criteria may apply.
  • Relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per the rules.

 

UGC NET 2025 December Application Process

The application process is conducted in online mode through the official website (ugcnet.nta.nic.in). Candidates can follow these steps:

  • Click on “Apply for UGC NET 2025 December”.
  • Register with basic details and create login credentials.
  • Fill out the application form accurately.

UGC NET 2025 December Exam Pattern

The UGC NET for the December session will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. The exam pattern includes:

  • Total Questions: Paper I (50 questions) + Paper II (100 questions)
  • Total Marks: Paper I (100 marks) + Paper II (200 marks)
  • Duration: 3 hours (combined for both papers)
  • Subjects Covered: Teaching & Research Aptitude in Paper I; Subject-specific domain in Paper II
  • Marking Scheme: No negative marking.

 

UGC NET 2025 December Result & Counselling

After the exam, the result will be released on the official website. Qualified candidates will be eligible to participate in the counselling process for eligibility to the Assistant Professor position, JRF award, or PhD admissions, depending on their score and category.
