Candidates are advised to submit their forms well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues. The late registration window will open after the regular deadline with an additional late fee.
UCEED 2026 Registration Fees
The registration fee for UCEED 2026 varies by category and gender. Payment can only be made online through net banking, debit, or credit cards.
Candidates applying after the regular deadline will have to pay an additional ₹500 as a late fee.
UCEED 2026 Application Process
The UCEED 2026 registration process comprises four major stages: account creation, form completion, document upload, and fee payment.
- Online Registration: Visit the official UCEED portal — uceed.iitb.ac.in. Click on “Register” and enter a valid email ID and mobile number to create a candidate account.
- Fill the Application Form: Log in using the credentials. Fill in personal, academic, and communication details. Select preferred exam cities in the order of priority.
- Upload Required Documents: Upload a recent passport-size photograph, signature, date of birth proof, and qualifying exam certificates in the prescribed size and format.
- Pay the Application Fee: Pay the registration fee online to complete the process. The fee once paid is non-refundable.
UCEED 2026 Exam Date and Schedule
The UCEED 2026 entrance exam will be conducted on January 18, 2026, in a computer-based test (CBT) mode across multiple test cities in India. The UCEED admit card 2026 is expected to be released on January 3, 2026, at the official website. The UCEED question paper consists of two parts — Part A (Objective Section) and Part B (Drawing Section), assessing candidates’ creativity, visualization, design aptitude, and analytical skills.
UCEED 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Before applying, candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria prescribed by IIT Bombay:
- Qualifying Examination: Must have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) in 2024 or appearing in 2026 in any stream (Science, Commerce, or Arts).
- Age Limit: Candidates belonging to the Open/EWS/OBC-NCL category should have been born on or after October 1, 2000. A relaxation of five years is provided for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
- Number of Attempts: A candidate can appear for UCEED a maximum of two times in consecutive years.
