UCEED 2026 Entrance Exam on 18 January for BDes Admissions

The UCEED 2026 entrance exam, conducted by IIT Bombay, is set for 18 January 2026 for students pursuing undergraduate design degrees. The test will take place nationwide and assess candidates on design aptitude and problem-solving skills.

 

UCEED 2026 Exam Date and Timings

The Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design will be held on Sunday, 18 January 2026, beginning at 9:00 am and concluding at 12:00 noon. Aspirees must report to their assigned test centres by 7:00 am, carry the printed UCEED 2026 admit card, and bring a valid photo identity proof to be allowed entry.

 

Admit Card and Application Timeline

UCEED 2026 admit cards were released on 02 January 2026. Students were given time until 08 January 2026 to correct any errors in details printed on their hall tickets. The online registration period for the exam had opened on 01 October 2025 and closed in early November 2025.

 

Post-Exam Answer Key and Results

Following the exam, a draft answer key for Part-A will be published, with candidates able to review and raise objections. The final answer key and cut-off marks will be released later in January and early February 2026, respectively. The UCEED 2026 result declaration is expected on 06 March 2026, with scorecards accessible online thereafter.

Reporting Time, Exam Timings, and Guidelines for UCEED Examination

  • Reporting Time and Exam Schedule: Candidates are advised to reach the examination centre well before the reporting time mentioned on the UCEED admit card. Late entry after the gate closure time will not be allowed under any circumstances.

  • Identity Verification and Seating: On arrival at the centre, candidates must complete identity verification using a valid photo ID and the UCEED admit card before proceeding to the allotted examination hall.

  • Exam Day Guidelines: Candidates must follow all instructions issued by the exam authorities, avoid carrying prohibited items, and remain seated until the examination concludes to ensure a smooth conduct of the test.
