The Kakatiya University, on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education, has opened the TS EdCET 2026 registration for candidates seeking admission to Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and B.Ed (Special Education) programmes in Telangana for the academic year 2026–27. Eligible candidates can complete the online application process from 23 February 2026 onwards. This common entrance test is mandatory for admission into two-year B.Ed courses offered by colleges across the state.

TS EdCET 2026 Exam Pattern & Sessions

The TS EdCET 2026 entrance test will be conducted in two sessions on 12 May 2026:

  • First Session: 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
  • Second Session: 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM

The examination will be a computer-based test (CBT) comprising multiple-choice questions designed to assess teaching aptitude, general knowledge, English comprehension, and subject knowledge.

 

How to Apply for TS EdCET 2026?

Candidates can follow these steps to register:

  1. Visit the official TS EdCET portal: edcet.tgche.ac.in.
  2. Click on the registration link and enter basic details.
  3. Log in with the registered email ID and password.
  4. Complete the application form with accurate academic and personal details.
  5. Select preferred exam centres.
  6. Pay the application fee online.
  7. Download and retain the confirmation page for future use.
