The Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (TG EAPCET/TS EAMCET) 2026 is not cancelled, despite recent speculation. Aspirants must register for the exam on eapcet.tgche.ac.in, with the last date without late fee being 4 April 2026 and extended deadlines up to 2 May 2026. The exam is scheduled for May 4–11, 2026.
Amid circulating reports about the cancellation of TS EAMCET 2026, the official status has been clarified: the TS EAMCET — now conducted as the Telangana Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (TG EAPCET) — will be held as scheduled for this year. Registration for the entrance exam is currently open on the official portal eapcet.tgche.ac.in for aspirants seeking engineering and related admissions in Telangana.
TG EAPCET 2026 Clarifying the Cancellation Reports
Reports suggesting that the TS EAMCET 2026 exam might be scrapped stem from recommendations made by the Telangana Education Commission, which proposed reforms such as admitting students based on class 12 marks only and potentially phasing out the entrance test in the long term. However, these suggestions are not official notices, and no formal announcement has been made by the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) or the exam authority regarding cancellation. Candidates are therefore advised that:
- The TG EAPCET 2026 exam is still scheduled to be conducted.
- Official exam dates and details will be shared by the conducting body in due course.
- Any change to the exam schedule would be formally communicated on the official website and in reliable education updates.
