TN TET 2026 Application from Feb 18, Exam on July 4 and 5

The Government of Tamil Nadu has announced the schedule for the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TN TET) 2026. Paper 1 will be conducted on July 4, 2026, and Paper 2 will be held on July 5, 2026. The online application process will begin on February 18, 2026, and the last date to submit the form is April 10, 2026.

TN TET 2026 Exam Pattern

Both Paper 1 and Paper 2 will consist of:

• 150 multiple-choice questions
• Total 150 marks
• Objective-type format

Each application requires a separate form and fee for Paper 1 and Paper 2.

TN TET 2026 Application Fee

• General category: INR 600 per paper
• SC/SCA/ST and Differently Abled Persons: INR 300 per paper

The fee once paid will not be refunded. Candidates must carefully select the correct community or disability category while applying.

TN TET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be working teachers appointed on or before September 01, 2025 in the following categories:

• Secondary Grade Teacher (SGT)
• BT Assistant
• Equivalent cadre teachers

They must be serving on Time Scale, Consolidated, or Part-time pay in Government, Government Aided, or Recognized Private schools in Tamil Nadu.

How to Register for TN TET 2026?

Candidates should follow these steps to complete the registration:

• Visit the official website: www.trb.tn.gov.in
• Fill separate applications for Paper 1 and Paper 2
• Upload Service Certificate
• Upload recent passport-size color photograph (JPG/JPEG/PNG, 40–60 KB)
• Upload signature (JPG/JPEG/PNG, 20–40 KB)
• Use a valid email ID and mobile number

Documents Required for TN TET 2026

Applicants must upload the following documents during registration:

• Class 10/SSLC certificate and mark sheets
• Class 12/Higher Secondary certificate and mark sheets
• Diploma in Teacher Education / Diploma in Elementary Education / Special Education
• B.El.Ed (4 years) or equivalent
• 4-year Integrated B.A./B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.
• Undergraduate degree in relevant subject
• B.Ed./Special B.Ed. degree and other qualifications for IEDSS
• Community Certificate
• Differently Abled Certificate (if applicable)
• Service Certificate
