TN SSLC Result 2026: Districts Dominating Tamil Nadu Rankings

The Directorate of Government Examinations Tamil Nadu will declare the TN SSLC Result 2026 on May 20, 2026through the official result portal. Ahead of the Class 10 result announcement, previous years’ district-wise trends indicate that several districts from southern and central Tamil Nadu have consistently recorded the highest pass percentages in the state.

Districts including Sivagangai, Virudhunagar, Perambalur, Ariyalur, Ramanathapuram, and Kanyakumari have repeatedly secured top positions in Tamil Nadu SSLC board examination rankings over the past few years.

TN SSLC Result Previous Year Pass Percentage Trends

Tamil Nadu has recorded a steady improvement in overall Class 10 pass percentages after the pandemic period. The state board has consistently maintained pass percentages above 90 per cent since 2022. The year-wise overall performance statistics are provided below.

In 2025, Tamil Nadu recorded one of its highest SSLC pass percentages in recent years with 93.80 per cent overall success.

Tamil Nadu SSLC 2021 Remained an Exception

The 2021 academic session remained an exception in Tamil Nadu SSLC history due to the pandemic-related cancellation of board examinations.

All students were declared passed that year, and the state did not release district-wise rankings or comparative performance statistics. Since the return of regular board examinations in 2022, district-wise merit trends have once again reflected strong performances from southern and central regions of Tamil Nadu.
