The Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu has started the SSLC Class 10 public examinations from 11 March 2026. The exams will continue until 6 April 2026. All papers are being conducted in offline pen-and-paper mode in a single shift across the state.

TN SSLC Exams 2026 Begin Today; Class 10 Tests Till 6 April as the Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE), Tamil Nadu has started the Secondary School Leaving Certificate examinations from 11 March 2026. The board exams will continue until 6 April 2026 at designated centres across the state. The examinations are being conducted in offline pen-and-paper mode for students enrolled in Class 10 under the Tamil Nadu state board.

 

TN SSLC 2026 Exam Timings and Mode

The Directorate of Government Examinations has scheduled the SSLC examinations in a single shift each day. Each exam will begin at 10:00 AM and conclude at 1:15 PM. The examination will be conducted in the traditional pen-and-paper format at centres across Tamil Nadu. Students appearing for the board exams have been instructed to follow all exam guidelines issued by the authorities.

 

Reporting Instructions for TN Class 10 Students

Students have been advised to reach their examination centres well before the reporting time mentioned on their SSLC hall ticket. Carrying the admit card or hall ticket is mandatory for entry into the examination hall. Candidates should also follow the instructions printed on the admit card and maintain discipline during the examination. Arriving early at the exam centre will help students complete the verification process smoothly before the exam begins.

 

TN SSLC Public Exams Conducted Across the State

The Tamil Nadu SSLC public examinations are being conducted at multiple designated exam centres across the state under the supervision of the Directorate of Government Examinations. These board exams are an important milestone for students as the results determine eligibility for admission to higher secondary (Class 11) courses in various streams. The Directorate is expected to release further updates regarding the TN SSLC 2026 result schedule and evaluation process after the completion of the examinations in April.
