TIFR GS 2026 Provisional Answer Key Released: Subject Details

The TIFR GS 2026 provisional answer key has been released by the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research for all examination subjects. Candidates who appeared for the Graduate School admissions test can now check the provisional responses and raise objections within the prescribed timeline. The answer keys are available subject-wise in PDF format for transparency and review. According to the official notification, the objection window for the TIFR GS 2026 provisional answer key will remain open until December 28, 2025, up to 11:00 PM. No representations will be accepted after the deadline under any circumstances.

TIFR GS 2026 Provisional Answer Key Objection Window

The provisional answer key release allows candidates to review responses and flag discrepancies, if any, before final evaluation. This step is part of TIFR’s standard admission process to ensure fairness and accuracy in result preparation. Candidates must submit objections only through the designated feedback mechanism provided by the institute. Queries sent via email or offline modes will not be considered. Each objection must be supported with proper academic justification to be evaluated by subject experts. Once the objection period closes on December 28, 2025, TIFR will scrutinize all valid submissions before releasing the final answer key. The final key will form the basis for result preparation and shortlisting for the next stages of admission.

TIFR GS 2026 Subject-Wise Provisional Answer Keys

The provisional answer keys for TIFR GS 2026 have been released for all disciplines offered under the Graduate School admissions framework. Candidates should carefully check the key corresponding to the subject they appeared for. The provisional answer keys are available for the following subjects:

  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Computer Science, Learning, Information and Data Sciences
  • Mathematics
  • Mathematics (PhD at CAM)
  • Physics (Integrated PhD)
  • Physics (PhD)
  • Science Education
  • Wildlife Biology and Conservation

Candidates are advised to cross-check each response carefully, as only subject-specific objections will be considered during evaluation.

What Happens After the Provisional Answer Key Stage?

After the objection review process is completed, TIFR will publish the final answer key. No further challenges will be permitted once the final version is released. The institute will then proceed with the preparation of merit lists and shortlisting of candidates for interviews or further assessment rounds, depending on the programme. Applicants should regularly monitor official updates regarding result declaration timelines and subsequent admission stages to avoid missing critical announcements.
