The Telangana Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (TG EAPCET) 2026 application process has seen significant response, with 10,924 applications received by the evening of Friday, 20 February 2026, according to officials. However, the process has been marred by mistakes by some applicants in choosing the appropriate stream in their forms.
Errors in stream selection have been observed among both BiPC and MPC students
Officials noted that some candidates are submitting incorrect choices when selecting their streams. Students from the BiPC group (Biology, Physics, Chemistry), who should ideally opt for the Agriculture and Pharmacy stream, have mistakenly selected the Engineering stream in their applications. So far, 11 BiPC candidates have made this error. Similar mistakes have been made by MPC students (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry), with seven applicants choosing the Agriculture and Pharmacy stream instead of Engineering. These errors underscore the importance of carefully reviewing all form details before final submission.
Officials have also flagged other application errors besides stream misselections
Apart from stream selection issues, TG EAPCET authorities have identified 52 applications containing spelling mistakes and inaccuracies in critical details such as candidates’ names, date of birth, mobile numbers, email IDs and reservation category entries. Such mistakes may lead to complications during hall ticket generation or verification stages later in the process. The TG EAPCET convener, Dr. K. Vijay Kumar Reddy, has cautioned applicants to double-check their submitted details and use the preview feature before clicking “final submit” to avoid issues that could affect exam eligibility.
TG EAPCET 2026 registration began recently and includes both engineering and agriculture streams
The TG EAPCET 2026 registration window opened on 19 February 2026, enabling students to apply for entrance into undergraduate engineering and agriculture/pharmacy programmes across Telangana. The exam serves as a gateway for admission into programmes such as B.E./B.Tech, B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture, B.Pharmacy, Pharm-D and related courses. Candidates can select either stream — Engineering (E) or Agriculture & Pharmacy (A&P) — or both, based on their qualifications and career aspirations. The application process is entirely online through the official portal eapcet.tgche.ac.in, where students must provide personal, academic and contact information.
TG EAPCET 2026 exam dates are scheduled for May 2026
The exam schedule for TG EAPCET 2026 has been announced, with the Agriculture and Pharmacy (A&P) exams set for 4 May and 5 May 2026, and the Engineering (E) exams from 9 May to 11 May 2026. Each exam day will feature two sessions: 9 am to 12 pm and 3 pm to 6 pm.
Registered students are advised to verify all application details carefully
TG EAPCET aspirants are being urged to review every detail in their applications before finalising submission. Incorrect entries, particularly in stream selection or personal details, may result in issues during hall ticket issuance, document verification or counselling stages in the admission process. Students should make use of the application preview feature to ensure accuracy and prevent avoidable mistakes.
