Telangana has implemented a new bond service policy for candidates admitted to postgraduate medical courses at Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS). Non-service candidates must now submit a bond with an undertaking to serve the State Government for one year.
KNRUHS Bond Service Tenure for Non-Service Candidates
Candidates admitted to Postgraduate medical degree and diploma courses (excluding in-service candidates) are required to serve the Government of Telangana in government institutions for one year, as directed by the state authorities. This ensures that the state benefits from the trained medical workforce.
Bond Amount for Non-Service Candidates
The bond amount depends on the type of course. Candidates must submit the bond at the time of admission. Details are as follows:
Course Type | Bond Amount |
PG Diploma Course | INR 10,00,000 (Rupees ten lakhs only) |
PG Degree Course | INR 20,00,000 (Rupees twenty lakhs only) |
The bond is executed on a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 100, as prescribed by KNRUHS. Candidates must complete the prescribed training period or pay Rs. 50,00,000 (Rupees fifty lakhs only) as a penalty.
Seat Leaving Penalty and Restrictions
Candidates discontinuing the course after the last date for Free Exit will face strict penalties:
- Rs. 50,00,000 (Rupees fifty lakhs only) to KNRUHS.
- Debarment from participating in counsellings for PG Degree and Diploma admissions under KNRUHS for three years.
This measure is intended to prevent seat blocking and ensure committed candidates complete their courses.
Certificate Submission Guidelines
As per the KNRUHS prospectus, original certificates submitted at the time of admission will not be returned until the candidate completes the course. This is subject to sub-regulations 8(ii) and 8(iii) in the prospectus.
