TANCET 2026 Registration Delayed Amid Anna University Protests

MBA aspirants across Tamil Nadu are still waiting for updates on TANCET 2026 registration. While candidates expected the notification this month, the official portal remains inactive.

Reason Behind the Delay

The delay is largely attributed to ongoing protests at Anna University. Temporary assistant professors from 16 constituent colleges are protesting over verbal dismissals, having served more than a decade at the university. These protests have affected administrative work and delayed processes, including the TANCET registration. Former Vice-Chancellor Balagurusamy sent a letter to Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, citing negligence by the current registrar as a key factor in the disruptions impacting both professors and students.

TANCET 2026 Expected Timeline (Based on Previous Years)

Historically, TANCET notification and registration are released 1–2 months before the exam. Given current disruptions, aspirants may have to wait longer this year.

What Candidates Should Do?

  • Regularly check the official Anna University TANCET portal for updates.
  • Keep academic and personal documents ready for the registration process.
  • Stay informed through official notifications to avoid missing deadlines once registration opens.

The TANCET 2026 exam will include admissions for MBA and MCA programs across Tamil Nadu, and timely registration is crucial for aspirants planning to participate in the upcoming session.
