The Directorate of Medical Education and Research, Tamil Nadu (DMER, Tamil Nadu) has once again revised the schedule for Round 3 of the NEET UG 2025 counselling. Eligible candidates must complete registration and choice-filling by tomorrow to take part in the MBBS/BDS seat allotment under the state quota. According to multiple sources, the timeline for Round 3 registration, payment, and locking of choices has been extended beyond previous deadlines. The official portal for the process is TNMedicalSelection.net.
Key Details of the Extension
- Registration & fee payment deadline (Round 3): Up to tomorrow (Exact date to be verified on portal)
- Choice filling & locking period: Extended accordingly
- Seat allotment result (Round 3): Scheduled for October 31 2025
- Last date to report to allotted college: From October 31 to November 5, 2025
What Candidates Must Do?
- Visit the official website — TNMedicalSelection.net — and complete fresh registration if not done already.
- Upload required documents and pay the registration fee before the deadline.
- Fill and lock your preferred colleges and specialisations (MBBS/BDS) within the choice-filling window.
- Monitor the official portal for the seat allotment result on October 31 2025 and join the allotted college by November 5 2025.
Why the Revision and What It Means?
The counselling schedule revisions are often driven by updated seat matrices, additional seat approvals, or coordination with the All-India counselling process conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). These changes give candidates additional flexibility to revise preferences and ensure transparency in allocation
