Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has announced that the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will conduct Railway Protection Force (RPF) recruitment exams annually. The announcement was made during the 41st Raising Day celebration of RPF in Valsad. This move is aimed at streamlining the recruitment process for Sub-Inspector (SI) and Constable posts. With annual exams, candidates will no longer have to wait months for the next recruitment cycle. The merit-based and transparent recruitment system under SSC is expected to accelerate the selection process. Earlier, the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) conducted RPF exams for SI and Constable posts.
