The SSC CPO Exam 2024 recruitment for Sub-Inspector (SI) posts under Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) has undergone a significant revision following discrepancies discovered during document verification and medical examination review. The revision affects final selections originally declared in 2025. The update was published by SSC on 27 November 2025. SSC noted that an “unusually high number of representations” from candidates prompted a thorough audit — in coordination with the nodal force Border Security Force (BSF). The review identified inconsistencies in the DV (Document Verification), DME (Detailed Medical Examination), and RME (Review Medical Examination) data provided earlier.
What Changed in the Revised 2024 SI Result?
After corrections, the following adjustments were made:
- 76 candidates who were earlier unallocated have now been allotted posts.
- 12 candidates who had been allocated earlier lost their selection due to eligibility issues or failing to meet final verification criteria.
- 178 candidates saw changes in their status or allocation compared to the original result.
- For 5,105 candidates — the previously selected ones — the selection status remains unchanged.
Overall, the revision affects a minority of applicants but underscores SSC’s commitment to transparency and accuracy in final selections.
What Candidates Should Do Next?
- All candidates (including those newly selected) must visit SSC’s official portal and check the revised SI result / merit list PDF.
- Those allotted seats earlier — including the newly added — should prepare for further joining formalities as per CAPF/Delhi Police notifications.
- Applicants whose status changed (either added or removed) should carefully review discrepancy notices and check if any follow-up documents are required.
SSC has confirmed that the revised merit list is final and replacements or further corrections will not be entertained.
What This Revision Means for Police & CAPF Recruitment?
The revision may lead to revised cutoffs or merit-rank shifts for certain categories. It also ensures that no deserving candidate is left out due to administrative errors. For CAPF and Delhi Police aspirants, this update signals the importance of accurate documentation and thorough medical verification. It also reinforces the need for vigil and timely representation if anomalies are found. Candidates are advised to treat this revised result as final and proceed with the next steps accordingly.
