SSC MTS & Havaldar 2026 Self Slot Selection Window Ends Today at SSC.gov.in

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced that the self slot selection window for the Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) and Havaldar 2026 examination will close today, 25 January 2026, at 11 pm. Eligible candidates who have already submitted their applications must complete this slot-booking process on the official SSC portal ssc.gov.in to finalise their exam city and date preferences.

What Is Self Slot Selection for SSC MTS & Havaldar?

The self slot selection facility allows candidates to choose their preferred exam city and date block for the upcoming SSC MTS & Havaldar Computer-Based Examination. Instead of waiting for SSC to assign the exam centre and date, candidates can select their preferred options based on available slots shown in the booking window. This process introduces greater flexibility and helps candidates plan travel and scheduling ahead of the exam. Once the selection is submitted, no changes will be allowed later.

Deadline and Important Instructions

Candidates should be aware of the following key points regarding the slot selection deadline:

• Final Date and Time for Slot Selection: 25 January 2026 at 11 pm
• Official Portal for Booking: ssc.gov.in
• Booking your preferred exam city and date is mandatory for the admit card generation.
• Once submitted, slot preferences cannot be modified at a later stage.

If the self slot selection is not completed by the deadline, candidates must confirm their willingness to appear through the Feedback Module by 28 January 2026, 11 pm. Failure to do both may lead SSC to consider the candidate as not interested in the examination, resulting in the non-issuance of the admit card.

SSC MTS & Havaldar Exam Schedule

The SSC MTS & Havaldar 2026 Computer-Based Examination is scheduled to be conducted from 4 February 2026 onwards. After the slot selection window closes:

• Exam city details are expected to be released by 30 January 2026.
• Admit cards will be made available 2–3 days before the exam date.
• Hall tickets will include information on the exam centre address, reporting time, and other essential instructions.

How to Complete Self Slot Selection?

Candidates who have not yet booked their slots must log in to the SSC portal using their registration ID and password, then:

1. Navigate to the self slot selection section on ssc.gov.in
2. Choose from the available exam city and date block options
3. Confirm and submit the choice
4. Save or download the confirmation page for reference

Completing this step early helps avoid last-minute server issues or slot unavailability that could impact exam planning.
