The SSC GD Exam City Intimation Slip 2026 has not yet been released as the SSC GD Constable exam has been postponed. Candidates must await the revised exam dates before the slip and admit card links are activated.
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has not released the SSC GD Exam City Intimation Slip 2026 yet due to the postponement of the GD Constable (General Duty) examination originally scheduled for 23 February 2026. As the exam dates are being revised, the city intimation slip link is also pending activation on the official website. The city intimation slip typically helps candidates know their exam city and tentative exam date/shift in advance of the admit card release. However, with the current postponement, SSC has delayed issuing this slip until the timeline is finalised.
SSC GD Constable Exam Postponed: What Happened
Earlier, the SSC GD Constable 2026 Computer-Based Test (CBT) was planned to be conducted on 23 February 2026. The exam has now been postponed, and SSC has not published updated exam dates yet. Candidates are expected to monitor the SSC website for fresh notifications regarding the revised schedule. Because the city intimation slip is tied to the exam date, its release will follow only after the new exam calendar is announced.
Slot Booking & City Allotment Changes in 2026
In addition to postponement, SSC has cancelled the self-slot booking facility for the GD Constable exam this year. Earlier, candidates were expected to choose their preferred exam city, date or shift. Now, SSC will automatically allot all such details to applicants once the fresh schedule is confirmed. This means that candidates will not need to book slots themselves and should await automatic notifications from the commission.
What Is the City Intimation Slip?
The SSC GD Exam City Intimation Slip serves as an early notice showing:
- Allotted exam city and centre
- Tentative exam date and shift
- Candidate’s basic registration details
This slip does not replace the final admit card, which will be released closer to the exam date once the schedule is finalised.
Expected Timeline for Slip & Admit Card
Once SSC announces the revised GD Constable exam dates:
- City Intimation Slip 2026 will be released roughly 8–10 days before the exam.
- GD Constable Admit Card 2026 will be issued a few days prior to the scheduled exam.
Candidates will need their registration ID and date of birth to download both documents.
What Candidates Should Do Now?
- Keep checking the official SSC portal (ssc.gov.in) for revised timetable updates.
- Ensure registration credentials are ready for downloading city slip and admit card once links are live.
- Continue preparation for the GD Constable exam even as dates get revised.
