SSC GD Constable Exam Pattern 2026
The written examination is divided into four main sections. Each part consists of 20 questions carrying 40 marks, with a total duration of 60 minutes.

General Intelligence and Reasoning
This section evaluates analytical aptitude, pattern recognition, and observation skills. Topics include analogies, similarities and differences, spatial orientation, visual memory, arithmetic reasoning, figural classification, coding-decoding, and number series.
General Knowledge and General Awareness
Questions test awareness of the environment, current events, and everyday observations. Candidates will be assessed on India and neighbouring countries’ history, culture, geography, economy, polity, constitution, sports, and scientific research. No special study of any discipline is required.
Elementary Mathematics
This section includes problems on number systems, whole numbers, decimals, fractions, fundamental arithmetic operations, percentages, ratio and proportion, averages, interest, profit and loss, discount, mensuration, time, distance, and work.
English/ Hindi
Candidates’ comprehension and understanding of basic English or Hindi language will be tested.

SSC GD Constable 2025 Selection Process
The selection will follow a multi-stage process:
