The SSC has released detailed guidelines for candidates on how to raise objections to the answer key for the Constable GD Exam 2026. Key points include the review process and valid objection criteria.

SSC GD Exam 2026: Guidelines for Raising Answer Key Objections

As candidates prepare for the SSC GD Exam 2026, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued comprehensive guidelines regarding the process for raising objections to the answer keys. This is a crucial step for students who wish to challenge any discrepancies they perceive in the provisional answer key released after the exam.

The SSC GD Exam, which includes positions in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), the SSF, and the Rifleman in Assam Rifles, will allow candidates to raise objections following the release of the provisional answer key. The exam is scheduled to take place on April 27, 2026. After the exam, the SSC will upload the tentative answer key, and candidates will have the opportunity to challenge any answers they believe are incorrect.

SSC GD Exam 2026 Objection Process: Key Facts

According to the guidelines released on April 10, 2026, candidates must adhere to specific protocols when submitting objections. Here are the essential points:

  • The SSC has previously outlined instructions in the exam notice dated December 1, 2025, which candidates should review alongside the new guidelines.
  • Objections can only be raised against the provisional answer key, which will be made available after the examination.
  • Each objection must be substantiated with valid reasoning; mere claims without evidence will not be considered.
  • Subject experts will review the objections, and based on their evaluations, the final answer key will be prepared.

What Happens After SSC GD Exam 2026 Objections Are Reviewed?

The SSC has clarified the procedures that follow the review of objections. Here’s what candidates can expect:

  • If an objection pertains to a translation error (for instance, in Hindi or any regional language), the question will be evaluated separately for that language, and marks may be adjusted accordingly.
  • Only significant errors that affect the meaning of the questions will be addressed; minor mistakes that do not alter the question's intent will be disregarded.
  • It is crucial for candidates to focus on raising valid objections rather than submitting numerous claims, as only well-founded objections will be acknowledged.

Important Advice for SSC GD Candidates

The SSC has emphasized the importance of submitting only legitimate objections. Candidates are encouraged to:

  • Carefully review the answer key and instructions before raising any objections.
  • Ensure that their objections are well-supported by evidence and reasoning.
  • Be aware that a high volume of objections does not guarantee acceptance; quality over quantity is key.
