SSC CHSL 2025 Tier-One Exam Day Guidelines – Admit Card & Timings

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the detailed exam-day guidelines for the CHSL 2025 Tier-One examination, which is scheduled to commence on 12 November 2025. The exam will be conducted across three shifts each day, and candidates must strictly adhere to the rules. The admission certificate (admit card) has been made available online. Candidates are required to carry the printed admit card, valid photo ID, and recent passport-size photographs to the test centre. Shift timings, entry rules and prohibited items have been clearly notified by SSC.

Shift Timings & Venue Entry for SSC CHSL 2025 Tier-One

The SSC CHSL Tier-One exam will be held in three shifts daily as detailed below:

  • Shift I: 9 a.m. – 10 a.m.
  • Shift II: 1 p.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Shift III: 5 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Candidates must reach the exam centre well in advance since entry gates will close 30 minutes before the commencement of the shift. Late entry will not be permitted.

Documents, Admit Card & Exam Hall Guidelines

Before entering the exam hall, candidates must check the following essentials:

  • Print out of the admit card with photograph and signature.
  • Valid photo identity proof (such as Aadhaar card, passport, or driving licence).
  • Two recent passport-size photographs for centre formalities.

Inside the hall:

  • Use only a black ink or black ball-point pen for marking responses on the answer sheet.
  • All rough work must be done on the question booklet; no rough work on the answer sheet will be allowed
  • Items like mobile phones, electronic devices, calculators, books or notes are strictly prohibited. Any violation may result in disqualification.

Key Instructions for Candidates

Candidates should verify their admit card carefully — name, roll number, date, time and venue — to avoid last-minute issues. If any discrepancy is found, a regional SSC office needs to be contacted immediately for correction. It is strongly recommended to keep the admit card and ID ready the night before. At the test centre, co-operate with invigilators and adhere to all instructions. Even minor mistakes like folding the answer sheet or using incorrect pen colour may lead to non-evaluation of responses.
