SSC CGL Tier 1 2025 Exam Update: Re-exam and Question Challenge Dates

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has completed Tier 1 of the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL) 2025, with about 28 lakh candidates registered and approximately 13.5 lakh appearing at 255 centres across 126 cities over 45 shifts in 15 days. One shift at a Mumbai centre was postponed due to a fire incident.

Re-exam and Candidate Feedback

Candidates affected by technical disruptions or the Mumbai incident will be given another opportunity to appear for the exam on 14-Oct-2025. Around 18,920 submissions were received via the Candidate Feedback Portal, with operational and venue issues examined for future planning. Laptop-based testing was piloted successfully, enabling flexibility in test centres. Aadhaar Authentication, including face verification, was deployed throughout the exam process.

Incidents of Malpractice

Some candidates were apprehended for fake PwBD documents or misuse of scribe provisions. Remote access attempts were also detected. Candidates with clear evidence of malpractice will be debarred, while ambiguous cases will appear for re-exam on 14-Oct-2025.

Question Challenge and Upcoming Exams

The challenge window for CGL selection posts questions will open around 15-Oct-2025. Other SSC examinations are scheduled as follows:

  • Delhi Police SI CPO 2025 – application window opened
  • Constable GD 2026 – application window from Nov 2025
  • CHSL Tier 1 2025 – begins from fourth week of Oct 2025
  • JE, MTS, and SI CPO exams – dates to be notified soon

Candidates are advised to regularly check the SSC website for updates regarding exam schedules, re-exam notices, and application windows.
