SSC CGL 2025 Re-Exam Date Announced; Answer Key Release on October 15

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued an official notice regarding the re-examination of the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) exam. The re-exam will be conducted on October 14, 2025, specifically for candidates whose test was interrupted due to the Mumbai fire incident on September 26, 2025.

SSC CGL 2025 Re-Exam Details

According to the notification published on ssc.gov.in, the Commission confirmed that the re-exam will cover only those candidates impacted by technical or security disruptions. The decision was taken after certain cases of malpractice and remote access attempts were reported during the earlier exam cycle. The SSC clarified that candidates involved in fake PwBD documents or irregularities have already been identified, while those with ambiguous cases will be required to appear again on October 14.

SSC CGL 2025 Exam Statistics

The main SSC CGL exam has already been completed across the country. A total of 28 lakh candidates registered, and around 13.5 lakh appeared for the test. The exam was conducted in 45 shifts over 15 days, spread across 255 centres in 126 cities.

Candidate Feedback and Technical Issues

The SSC feedback portal recorded 18,920 submissions from candidates. Some responses highlighted technical problems, which were verified through digital footprints. Based on this review, affected candidates were rescheduled for another attempt.

SSC CGL 2025 Answer Key Release Date

The SSC CGL 2025 answer key will be released on October 15, 2025, along with the opening of the objection window. Candidates can raise objections within the notified period by paying a fee of INR 100 per question. This fee is non-refundable.

Other SSC Exam Updates

Apart from CGL, the Commission has also provided updates for upcoming recruitment exams:

• Delhi Police and SI CPO 2025 application windows are now open.
• Constable GD 2026 applications will begin in November 2025.
• CHSL Tier 1 exam is scheduled for the fourth week of October 2025, followed by SI CPO, JE, and MTS exams. Specific dates will be announced shortly.
