Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is expected to release the SSC CGL Tier 1 Admit Card 2025 shortly on its official website ssc.gov.in. The exam is set to take place from September 12 to 26, 2025, across various centres in the country. Over 28 lakh candidates are preparing to appear for this highly competitive examination.
The admit card is an essential document that candidates must carry to the exam centre. Without it, entry will not be allowed. Along with the admit card, candidates need to bring a valid photo ID like Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, Passport, or Driving License. The admit card will include important details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, exam date, time, exam centre address, and reporting time.
How to Download SSC CGL Tier 1 Admit Card 2025?
Candidates appearing in SSC CGL Tier 1 exam must follow these steps to download their admit card:
- Visit the SSC’s official website at ssc.gov.in.
- Log in with your SSC One-Time Registration (OTR) number and password.
- Go to the Exam Dashboard.
- Click on the SSC CGL 2025 exam card link.
- Download and print your admit card.
SSC CGL Tier 1 Shift Timing
The exam will be conducted in multiple shifts each day. The timings are as follows:
- Shift 1: 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM
- Shift 2: 11:45 AM – 12:45 PM
- Shift 3: 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM
- Shift 4 (Optional): 5:15 PM – 6:15 PM
SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Pattern
The online exam will consist of 100 questions carrying a total of 200 marks. The sections are divided as below:

The admit card will display the exam centre details. SSC has confirmed that 93% of candidates received centres according to their first, second, or third choice. Some candidates have been allotted centres up to 168 km away from their preferred location.

- New Normalisation Formula: SSC has updated the normalisation method to ensure fairness for candidates appearing in different shifts. Raw scores are converted into percentiles and then mapped to standard scores for comparison.
- Reporting Time: Arriving on time is crucial. The reporting time will be specified in the admit card.
- Admit Card Validity: The admit card is valid only for the exam date, shift, and centre mentioned on it.
- Central Website Access: Admit cards will only be available on the official SSC website and not on regional sites.
