SNAP 2025 Result Declared; NMAT Opens as Backup MBA Admission Option following the release of scorecards by Symbiosis International University. Candidates who are not satisfied with their SNAP performance or fear missing institute-wise cut offs now have the option to consider NMAT as an alternative management entrance examination. The additional NMAT window has been facilitated by Graduate Management Admission Council, offering another opportunity for MBA aspirants during the current admission cycle.
SNAP 2025 Result Status and Admission Implications
The SNAP 2025 result has been declared for all test takers. Admission to Symbiosis institutes depends on meeting campus-specific cut off percentiles, followed by further selection rounds. Candidates who do not meet the required cut off percentile for their preferred Symbiosis campus may not receive shortlisting calls. In such cases, applying for NMAT provides an alternate route to MBA admissions in India and abroad.
SNAP Expected Cut Off 2025 for Symbiosis Institutes
Based on previous admission trends, the expected SNAP cut offs for major Symbiosis campuses are outlined below.
These cut offs are indicative and may vary depending on applicant pool and overall performance.
NMAT as a Backup Option for MBA Admission
Candidates not confident about meeting SNAP cut offs can consider NMAT by GMAC as a backup option. NMAT scores are accepted by more than 50 management institutes in India and overseas for MBA and PGDM programmes. The NMAT exam allows up to three attempts in a test cycle. Candidates who have unused attempts or wish to improve their scores are eligible to appear in the additional window.
NMAT 2025 Additional Window Schedule
As per the announced timeline, the NMAT registration and scheduling window is set to close on 10 January 2026. Eligible candidates will be allowed to appear for the NMAT examination during the additional testing phase. The NMAT additional exam window is scheduled between 13 January 2026 and 17 January 2026. Candidates must note that not all participating institutes accept scores from the additional window, and admission policies vary across colleges.
Other MBA Entrance Exams to Consider
Apart from SNAP and NMAT, candidates may also explore other MBA entrance examinations depending on regional and institutional preferences. These include exams conducted for state-level and university-specific MBA admissions. Candidates are advised to carefully review eligibility criteria, acceptance policies, and admission timelines before applying to any alternative examination.
What Candidates Should Do Next?
Candidates should analyse their SNAP scores realistically, compare them with expected cut offs, and decide whether to wait for Symbiosis shortlists or apply for NMAT as a backup. Keeping multiple options open can improve chances of securing MBA admission in the 2026 academic session. The declaration of SNAP 2025 results marks a critical decision-making phase for aspirants, and timely action is essential to avoid missing alternative opportunities.
