SMIT Online Test 2026 Registration Begins for BTech Admission

The Sikkim Manipal University (SMU) has officially opened the SMIT Online Test 2026 registration process for BTech admissions. Interested candidates can now submit their application forms for the academic year 2026–2027 through the university’s official admission portal — apply.applysmit.in. The Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT) conducts admissions for its BTech programmes through SMIT Online Test, JEE Main, and MET (Manipal Entrance Test) scores.

 

SMIT Online Test 2026 Registration Details

The university has released the online application form for BTech admissions. Candidates are required to complete the form by providing their name, email ID, phone number, and preferred course. After verifying the mobile number through an OTP, applicants must enter their academic details and personal information as part of the form-filling process. The application fee for SMIT Online Test 2026 is ₹500, which must be paid online before submission. Once the fee payment is completed, candidates need to upload the required documents such as their Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, ID proof, and recent photograph.

SMIT BTech 2026 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission to any of the BTech courses, candidates must fulfil the following conditions:

  • Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with at least 45% marks (40% for candidates belonging to reserved categories).
  • The compulsory subjects include Physics and Mathematics, along with one of the following: Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, Biology, Informatics Practices, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subject, Engineering Graphics, Business Studies, or Entrepreneurship.
  • Candidates who have completed a DVoc stream in the same or a related field are also eligible to apply for the SMIT Online Test 2026.

 

SMIT 2026 Admission Process

Admissions to the BTech programmes at SMIT are based on the following criteria:

  • SMIT Online Test 2026 conducted by the university.
  • JEE Main 2026 score (for candidates applying through national-level entrance).
  • MET 2026 (Manipal Entrance Test) score.
