The West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) has issued important directives for the upcoming SLST examinations. Chairman Siddhartha Majumder outlined the revised schedule and strict security measures in a press conference. Candidates are advised to follow the instructions carefully to avoid any last-minute issues.
SLST Exam 2025, Revised Reporting Time and Exam Schedule
Candidates must report to the examination centers by 10:00 AM on the exam day. The original reporting time of 11:00 AM has been moved earlier to allow thorough security checks.
- Day 1 Exam: Approximately 319,919 candidates at 636 centers
- Day 2 Exam (11th & 12th grade): Around 246,500 candidates at 478 centers
Question papers will be distributed to centers between 10:00 AM and 10:30 AM and given to candidates around 11:45 AM. The examination will officially start at 12:00 PM.
SLST Exam 2025 Security Measures and Permitted Items
All candidates will undergo a primary security check before entering the examination hall.
Allowed Items:
- Transparent pen (pens will also be provided)
- Admit card with barcode
- Personal photo ID card
Prohibited Items:
- Mobile phones
- Watches of any kind
- Non-transparent water bottles
- Papers other than the admit card and photo ID
If there is an issue with the photo or signature on the admit card, candidates must submit a self-attested photocopy of their original ID at the center.
SLST Exam 2025 Question Paper and OMR Sheet Security
- Each candidate will receive a sealed packet containing the question booklet and OMR answer sheet.
- Seals must not be broken before the official start time.
- OMR sheets must have sections 1 to 5 filled correctly, or they will be canceled.
- Invigilators will verify candidates’ signatures on OMR sheets.
Other Important SLST Exam 2025 Instruction
Candidates are advised to adhere to all WBSSC guidelines and arrive early to ensure smooth entry and compliance with security procedures.
- A control room will operate from 8:00 AM on exam day.
- Internet services will remain active for official communication.
- Each centre will have one observer, usually a college or university professor.
Invigilators may carry mobile phones, but only in the venue in charge’s room, not inside the exam hall
