The Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) 2026 first merit list process has begun, marking a key milestone in the law admissions cycle. Symbiosis International (Deemed University) is releasing separate merit lists for each Symbiosis Law School (SLS) campus based on candidates’ SLAT scores and Personal Interaction (PI) performance.
SLAT 2026 First Merit List Release Schedule
Candidates who appeared for SLAT 2026 should note the following first merit list dates for different Symbiosis Law School campuses:
- SLS Nagpur First Merit List: 10 February 2026
- SLS Pune First Merit List: 12 February 2026
- SLS Noida First Merit List: 12 February 2026
- SLS Hyderabad First Merit List: 16 February 2026
The merit lists will be published on the official SLAT portal slat-test.org and on individual SLS websites. Applicants can log in with their SET ID and password to check their allotment status.
How is the SLAT Merit List Determined?
The SLAT 2026 merit list is prepared using a combined score that includes the candidate’s performance in the SLAT entrance test and the Personal Interaction (PI) round. Typically, SLAT scores count for the majority of merit, with PI performance making up the rest of the final ranking. To be included in the first merit list, candidates must have:
- Qualified in the SLAT 2026 exam conducted in December 2025.
- Completed the subsequent Personal Interaction (PI) round held in January–early February 2026.Shortlisted candidates will find their names in the respective campus merit lists.
Next Steps After Merit List Allotment
After the first merit list is released, candidates who secure a seat must complete admission formalities by the deadlines set by the respective SLS campus. These typically include:
- Confirming acceptance of the seat
- Payment of admission fees
- Submission of required documents such as class 10 and 12 mark sheets, SLAT scorecard and category certificates if applicable
Admission deadlines vary by campus but generally fall within mid‑to‑late February 2026.
SLAT Counselling and Subsequent Lists
Following the first merit list, additional rounds, including the second and third merit lists, may be published if seats remain vacant. These subsequent lists will follow soon after the first and allow more candidates to secure admission based on merit and available seats. Candidates and guardians should regularly check the official SLAT and SLS websites for updates on allotment lists, counselling schedules and important deadlines to ensure timely completion of all admission procedures.
