SBI Clerk Vacancy 2026: Check State-Wise and Category-Wise Vacancy

SBI Clerk Recruitment 2026 has been announced for 9,124 Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) vacancies across India. The online application process started on August 11, 2026, and eligible candidates can apply until August 31, 2026.

The recruitment includes 7,680 regular vacancies and 1,444 backlog vacancies. Candidates can apply for vacancies in only one State or Union Territory and must check the state-wise and category-wise vacancy breakup before applying.

The regular vacancies are distributed across various SBI circles. Maharashtra has the highest number of regular vacancies at 1,718, followed by Tamil Nadu with 1,410 and Odisha with 1,100.

The vacancies are provisional and may change depending on the actual requirement of the bank.

SBI Clerk Vacancy 2026 Category-Wise

The regular vacancies include 1,114 SC, 837 ST, 1,716 OBC, 760 EWS and 3,253 General posts. The total regular vacancies stand at 7,680.

Backlog vacancies are also available for reserved categories. SBI has provided the state-wise and category-wise breakup in the official recruitment notification.

SBI Clerk 2026 Application Fee

Candidates belonging to General, OBC and EWS categories have to pay an application fee of INR 750. Candidates from SC, ST, PwBD, XS and DXS categories are exempt from the application fee.

The fee is non-refundable and must be paid online during the application process.

SBI Clerk Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

The selection process consists of:

• Preliminary Examination
• Main Examination
• Local Language Proficiency Test, wherever applicable

Marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination will not be counted for the final merit list. The final merit list will be prepared state-wise and category-wise based on Main Examination marks.
