RRB NTPC Normalization Process

The RRB employs a normalization process to ensure fairness in scoring, especially since the exam is conducted across multiple sessions. This method adjusts scores based on the difficulty level of the questions. For instance, if a candidate answers 80 questions with 12 incorrect responses, the raw score would be calculated as follows:

Raw Score = Total Correct Answers - Incorrect Answers - (Negative Marking)

Using a negative marking scheme of 1/3, the calculation would be:

Raw Score = 80 - 12 - (12 * 1/3) = 64
