RRB Group D 2025 Exam Likely from November 17, Pending CAT Verdict

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is expected to conduct the RRB Group D 2025 exam for Level 1 posts (CEN 08/2024) from November 17 to December 31, 2025, subject to the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) court decision. The final schedule will be confirmed only after the tribunal verdict, which is expected today, November 4, 2025.

The RRB Group D recruitment aims to fill thousands of Level 1 vacancies across Indian Railways. However, the ongoing legal proceedings have delayed the official confirmation of the exam schedule.

Why RRB Group D Exam 2025 May Be Delayed

The RRB Group D 2025 exam, initially planned between November 17 and December 31, was paused following a Delhi High Court stay order. The order came after a contempt petition was filed, leading to the suspension of all related recruitment activities. The matter was then transferred to the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), which directed all RRBs to withhold further proceedings until a final judgment is issued.

The CAT hearing, originally expected on October 30, 2025, was postponed and is being held today, November 4, 2025. The tribunal’s decision will determine whether the exam can proceed as per schedule or face another delay.
