In an unprecedented outcome, the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has declared the Assistant Prosecution Officer (APO) Result 2025, with only four candidates qualifying for 181 vacancies in the Home Department. This result marks the first time RPSC has implemented minimum qualifying marks, leading to an exceptionally low number of successful applicants.
Minimum Qualifying Marks Applied for the First Time
RPSC Secretary Ram Niwas Mehta confirmed that candidates were required to secure a minimum of 40 percent marks in each paper. For candidates from SC and ST categories, a relaxation of five percent was provided. The new rule was introduced to ensure that only candidates meeting the required competency level progress to the next stage of recruitment.
Exam Conducted on 1 June 2025
The Home (Prosecution) Department had published 181 APO vacancies—for both scheduled and non-scheduled areas—on 7 March 2024 under the Rajasthan Prosecution Subordinate Service Rules, 1978. A total of 2,747 candidates applied, and 2,558 candidates (93.12%) appeared for the written examination held on 1 June 2025.
Only 4 Candidates Eligible for Document Verification
Out of the 2,558 candidates who appeared, only four candidates in the non-scheduled area category achieved the minimum required marks in both papers. Their roll numbers have been published for the next stage—document verification. Analysis reveals that:
- All four qualifying candidates belong to the General category
- No eligible candidates were found in SC, ST, OBC, MBC, or EWS groups
- No candidates from scheduled areas met the qualifying criteria
Document Verification & Detailed Application Form (DAF)
RPSC clarified that the published list is provisional and solely for the purpose of document verification. It is not the final merit list. Qualified candidates must fill out the Detailed Application Form (DAF) through the My Recruitment – Detailed Form Scrutiny – Apply Now section on the RPSC portal.
DAF Window: 16 December to 22 December 2025 (till 11:59 PM)
Once document verification is completed by the concerned department, RPSC will publish the final selection list.
