RIE CEE 2025 Result Preparation Criteria

The final result is prepared using a specific formula set by NCERT, which includes a combination of entrance test performance and qualifying exam marks:

• Weightage: 60% from the RIE CEE entrance exam + 40% from the qualifying exam (as per programme-specific aggregate definition)
• Tie-breakers:
  • First, by Teaching Aptitude Test scores
  • Then by age (older candidates are preferred)
• Precision: Scores are rounded off to three decimal places for merit list formation

Additionally, each RIE reserves one seat in the BSc BEd and BA BEd courses for NTSE awardees. RIE Mysore offers an extra seat in MSc Ed (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) for NTSE scholars.

RIE CEE 2025 Aggregate Score Definition by Programme

NCERT has specified how the 40% weight from academic scores is calculated based on programme type:

• BSc BEd / MSc Ed: Marks in PCM or PCB divided by total marks in PCM/PCB
• BA BEd: Total marks obtained in the qualifying exam divided by maximum marks
• BEd: Same method as BA BEd
• MEd: Total marks in the qualifying degree exam; if the degree is integrated (like BSc BEd), only professional (BEd) components are considered

Once the result is declared, candidates who qualify will need to participate in the counselling rounds, which are held at their respective RIEs. The counselling process involves:
