Maharashtra CET Cell has updated the CET 2026 exam calendar to avoid clashes with national-level exams, impacting various entrance tests.
Maharashtra’s Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has officially revised the examination calendar for the CET 2026. This adjustment was prompted by the scheduling conflicts that arose with several national-level examinations, which overlapped with crucial dates for the CET. The revised schedule will span the months of March, April, and May 2026, significantly affecting entrance exams for engineering, management, law, and teaching courses.
The decision to revise the CET schedule was largely influenced by persistent requests from candidates who expressed concerns over the potential for overlapping exam dates. One particularly critical date that posed a conflict was April 12, which was shared by multiple entrance exams. Recognizing the importance of allowing students to pursue their career aspirations without choosing between competing opportunities, the CET Cell took proactive measures to adjust the MHT CET (PCM Group) examination window.
New Examination Dates
The engineering entrance exam has undergone significant rescheduling. Below are the updated dates for the MHT CET 2026:
| Exam | New Date |
|---|---|
| MHT CET (PCM Group) | April 12, 2026 (Excluded) |
Important Instructions for Candidates
- Re-download their admit cards to confirm the updated details.
- Stay vigilant about any further announcements from the CET Cell.
- Regularly check the official website for the complete MHT CET 2026 examination calendar.
Implications for Students
This revision is a significant development for students preparing for various entrance examinations in Maharashtra. By alleviating the pressure of conflicting exam dates, the CET Cell is providing students with a fair chance to excel in their chosen fields. It is essential for aspirants to adapt to these changes promptly and ensure they are fully prepared for their exams.
