RBSE has announced a revision in the evaluation process for Class 10 English medium Social Science answer sheets for the 2026 board exams. The move aims to ensure fair marking and reduce language-related discrepancies during assessment.
The Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan has introduced a key change in the evaluation process for the RBSE Class 10 board examinations 2026. The decision directly impacts English medium students appearing for the Social Science paper. According to the update, answer sheets of English medium candidates will now be assessed by subject teachers proficient in English to ensure greater consistency and fairness in marking.
RBSE Class 10 Social Science Evaluation Update Explained
The revised evaluation approach has been implemented to address concerns related to language barriers during the checking process. Earlier, Social Science answer sheets of English medium students were often evaluated by teachers who primarily taught the subject in Hindi. Before detailing the objective of this decision, it is important to note that the board reviewed feedback from teachers and parents regarding inconsistencies in assessment. Under the new system:
- English medium Social Science answer sheets will be checked by English subject teachers
- Language-related errors in evaluation are expected to reduce
- The overall accuracy of marks calculation is likely to improve
Reason Behind the RBSE Evaluation Change
RBSE introduced this modification to strengthen transparency and uniformity in the answer sheet assessment process. In previous years, concerns were raised that language challenges sometimes affected the marking of English medium papers. By assigning evaluation duties to teachers with strong command over English, the board aims to ensure that students are assessed purely on subject knowledge rather than language interpretation issues.
RBSE Class 10 Exam 2026 Schedule Highlights
Along with the evaluation update, RBSE has confirmed the examination schedule for Class 10 students appearing in 2026. Candidates should be aware of the key dates to plan their preparation accordingly. The RBSE Class 10 board examinations 2026 will be conducted:
- From 12 February 2026 to 28 February 2026
- Exam timing: 8:30 AM to 11:45 AM
The RBSE Class 10 Social Science exam is scheduled to be held on 17 February 2026.
What This Means for RBSE Class 10 Students?
This evaluation reform is expected to benefit English medium students by ensuring a more balanced and unbiased assessment process. With clearer evaluation standards in place, students can expect improved transparency in the RBSE Class 10 result 2026. Candidates are advised to continue exam preparation as per the official syllabus and focus on conceptual clarity ahead of the upcoming board examinations.
