POWERGRID Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Apply From August 25

The Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has released the Apprentice Recruitment 2026 notification for 270 training positions across ITI, Diploma and Graduate Apprentice categories. Applications will begin on August 25, 2026.

Eligible candidates can submit their applications online until September 10, 2026. The one-year apprenticeship will be offered across multiple POWERGRID regions, and there is no application fee, written examination or interview for selection.

POWERGRID Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Eligibility

Candidates must fulfil the following conditions:

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have completed the required qualification as a regular candidate.
• The final examination result must have been declared within two years before the application closing date.
• Candidates awaiting their final examination results cannot apply.
• Applicants must not have previously completed or currently be undergoing apprenticeship training in any organisation.
• Candidates with more than one year of job experience are not eligible.
• Candidates must meet the prescribed medical fitness requirements.

Candidates must first register on the appropriate apprenticeship portal before applying to POWERGRID.

• ITI Electrician candidates: Register on the NAPS portal.
• Diploma and Degree candidates: Register on the NATS portal.
• Complete or update the profile with the required documents.
• Visit the POWERGRID website.
• Open the Careers section.
• Select Engagement of Apprentices.
• Click on the online application option.
• Log in using the apprenticeship enrolment details.
• Fill in the required information and upload documents.
• Submit the application before September 10.

There will be no written examination or interview for the apprenticeship selection. Candidates will be shortlisted based on merit and then called for document verification and medical examination.

Candidates should apply for only one region/state of their choice. Multiple applications for different regions, states or trades can lead to rejection.
