PM Modi to Address Post-Budget Webinar on Education, Skills and University Townships on 09 March 2026 as part of discussions following the Union Budget announcements. The webinar will highlight initiatives aimed at strengthening India's education system, skill development ecosystem, and creative economy sectors.

 

The event will bring together policymakers, academicians, industry leaders, startups, and students to discuss strategies for implementing key education and skill initiatives announced in the Union Budget 2026–27.

 

Post-Budget Webinar 2026 Focus on Education and Skills

The webinar titled “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas – Fulfilling Aspirations of People: Education, Skills and University Townships” is being organised by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in collaboration with the Department of Higher Education.

 

The main objective of the session is to discuss policy measures that can improve educational infrastructure, strengthen skill development programmes, and encourage collaboration between academia and industry.

 

The inaugural session of the webinar is scheduled to begin at 11:30 AM on 09 March 2026. During this session, the Prime Minister will deliver a special address outlining the government's vision to promote innovation, digital creativity, and employment opportunities through the AVGC creator economy.

 

AVGC Content Creator Labs Initiative in Schools and Colleges

A major focus of the webinar will be the implementation of AVGC Content Creator Labs (CCLs) announced in the Union Budget. The initiative aims to establish labs in 15,000 schools and 500 higher educational institutions across India.

 

These labs will support learning and skill development in fields related to Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics (AVGC). The initiative is expected to strengthen India’s creative and digital economy while building a strong talent pipeline for the AVGC industry.

 

The programme also aims to equip students with creative and digital skills required for emerging technology-driven industries.

 

Breakout Session on AVGC Creator Labs

As part of the webinar, a dedicated breakout session titled “AVGC Content Creator Labs in Schools and Colleges” will be organised. The session will discuss practical approaches for implementing the initiative across educational institutions.

 

The breakout session will take place from 12:20 PM to 1:50 PM on 09 March 2026. It will be moderated by Chaitanya Chinchlikar, Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Whistling Woods International.

 

The session will include a keynote address by Sanjay Jaju, Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. A panel discussion will also feature representatives from government bodies, industry organisations, and the AVGC sector.

 

Participation and Closing Session Details

The webinar will be streamed live through the official YouTube channel of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, allowing students, educators, and industry stakeholders to participate virtually.

 

Stakeholders including educational institutions, startups, creators, students, and professionals from the AVGC sector are expected to join the discussions. The objective is to generate practical recommendations and collaborative strategies for implementing the proposed initiatives.

 

The webinar will conclude with a closing session summarising the outcomes and key recommendations. A special address will also be delivered by Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Ashwini Vaishnaw at 5:25 PM.

 

The discussions are expected to contribute to policy implementation strategies aimed at strengthening India’s education, skills ecosystem, and creative economy sectors.
