OTET 2026 Rescheduled to July 5 After OSSSC Exam Clash: Admit Card

The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha has rescheduled the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) 2026 to July 5, 2026, following an overlap with the Odisha Sub-Ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) Combined Recruitment Examination. The OSSSC examination, originally scheduled for June 20, was later postponed to June 28, resulting in both examinations being slated for the same day. The revised schedule removes the conflict for candidates who had registered for both examinations.

OTET 2026 Exam Date Revised

BSE Odisha had earlier scheduled OTET 2026 for June 28, 2026. However, after the OSSSC Combined Recruitment Examination was rescheduled to the same date, concerns were raised regarding the clash between the two examinations. Subsequently, the board announced that OTET 2026 would now be conducted on July 5, 2026, enabling candidates registered for both examinations to appear in each test without a scheduling overlap.

OTET 2026 Exam Timings Unchanged

The examination pattern and timings remain unchanged. Candidates are advised to report to their allotted examination centres in accordance with the timings mentioned on their admit cards and follow the instructions issued by the board. OTET 2026 will continue to be conducted in two shifts.

The overlap arose after the OSSSC Combined Recruitment Examination was postponed from June 20 to June 28. Since OTET was already scheduled for June 28, candidates who had applied for both examinations raised concerns regarding the date clash. They are also advised to preserve the admit card for future reference.
