O’Level exam results for the May and June 2025 session will be released today, August 19, 2025, as confirmed by the Department of Public Examination (DPE). The results consist of both the SSC and the Cambridge IGCSE examinations. As per the official announcement, results will be available from 1 pm onwards.
O’Level Results 2025 Timing and Distribution
The official statement from DPE has mentioned that students can access their results from 1 pm on August 19, 2025. For independent students, result distribution will be conducted between 8:30 am and 1:30 pm on working days directly at the DPE office.
Candidates must present a valid ID card when collecting their results. If a candidate is unable to attend, another person may collect the results on their behalf, provided that both the candidate’s and the recipient’s ID cards are presented.

This year, 8,364 students from 260 centres sat for the SSC and Cambridge IGCSE examinations. DPE highlighted that the smooth conduct of the exams was made possible due to increased coordination with schools and centres. This revised schedule aims to simplify the exam cycle process and provide students with adequate preparation time. The DPE also issued an update on upcoming exam schedules:
- Students currently in Grade 10 will sit for their board exams in February/March 2026.
- Students in Grade 9 will take their O-Level exams in October/November 2026.
Policy Change for Future O’Level Exams
A significant change has been announced regarding the scheduling of O’Level examinations. Starting from the next academic year, the O’Level exams will be conducted only in the October/November session every year. The decision was taken to standardise the academic calendar and reduce the pressure of multiple exam windows. Schools and parents have been informed to prepare students accordingly.
