NVS Class 9 Admission 2026: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for Class 9 admission must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a bona fide resident of the district where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is located.
- Should be studying Class 8 during the 2025–26 academic session in a government or government-recognized school of the same district.
- Date of birth must be between May 1, 2011, and July 31, 2013 (inclusive) for all categories.
- Only Indian nationals studying in India are eligible.
NVS Class 9 Admission 2026: Application Details
The online registration process for Class 9 admission started on July 30, 2025. Interested candidates can apply through the official website. There is no application fee for any category. Applicants are required to upload the following documents while filling the form:
- Recent passport-sized photograph
- Signature
- Class 8 mark sheet and certificate
- Category certificate (if applicable)
- Domicile certificate (if required)
- ID proof (Aadhaar card, Voter ID, etc.)
NVS Class 9 Selection Process
The selection of candidates will be based on the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) 2026, which will consist of:
- Mental Ability Test
- Arithmetic Test
- Language Test
The question paper will be framed according to the Class 8 syllabus.
