The National Testing Agency has started the NCET 2026 registration process for candidates seeking admission to the 4-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) for the academic session 2026–27. Prospective applicants can now complete the online form and upload required documents through the official portals before the deadline.

NCET 2026 Application Dates and Correction Window

The NCET 2026 application form is open for eligible candidates to submit their details for admission into ITEP courses. The online registration is available on nta.ac.in and exams.nta.nic.in/NCET. Prospective students must ensure they complete the form by 10 March 2026 to be considered for the test. The deadline to pay the application fee online is 11 March 2026. Candidates should also note that a correction window will be available from 12 March to 14 March 2026, during which they can make permitted changes to their submitted application details.

NCET 2026 Examination and Admission Scope

The National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2026 will be conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode and will serve as the entrance gateway for admission to the four-year ITEP. This programme combines teacher education with a chosen discipline and is offered by select Central and State Universities, certain IITs, NITs, and Regional Institutes of Education (RIEs). The exam is expected to be held on 17 April 2026, although candidates should check official sources for any updates on the exact date.

How to Apply for NCET 2026?

To register for NCET 2026, candidates must:

  1. Visit the NTA official website nta.ac.in or the dedicated NCET portal.
  2. Click on the NCET 2026 registration link.
  3. Provide valid personal, academic, and contact details.
  4. Upload scanned photographs and signature as per specifications.
  5. Pay the prescribed application fee online using debit/credit card, net banking, or UPI.

Correction Window: Key Opportunity Before Final Submission

After form submission, candidates will have a limited period from 12 March to 14 March 2026 to make corrections in their applications. This facility allows candidates to rectify any errors in submitted details before the exam process advances further.

What Comes Next After Registration?

After successful submission and corrections, candidates should monitor updates for admit card release and exam city announcements on the official NTA portals. NCET scores will be used by participating universities and institutes for admission into the four-year ITEP courses.
